4-page argument, based in close reading, on epic and novel in Cervantes’s Don Quijote ad Ngũgĩ’s Matigari Your assignment for Paper #2 is to write a four-page argument (double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman, one-inch margins), based in close reading, on either Miguel de Cervantes’s Don Quijote or Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o’s Matigari. In your paper, take a position on one of the two central questions below. Then defend your position by citing and analyzing direct quotations from your chosen text and any others (as specified below) you use to make your arguments. To persuade your reader, be sure to cite quotations that present the best textual evidence for your points—and give strong, convincing close readings that show us how or why those quotations support your argument. Apart from Cervantes’s Don Quijote or Ngũgĩ’s Matigari, you may use only assigned course texts named in the questions below. For all texts used, give in-text parenthetical citations and entries in the Works Cited list. No outside sources (print or online) are permitted for this assignment.
