Have any of you been involved in groups and it didn’t turn out the way you wanted it to? 3. Do you get satisfaction from the groups you’re members of? If not, what do you need to change to get that satisfaction? 4. addiction support groups as one of the types of groups that people join. Probably the group that we’re most familiar with in that category is Alcoholics Anonymous. Hundreds of thousands of people have found support and success with this group. What do you think makes this group effective–is it the 12-step program they follow, the frequency of attendance, the repetition or the support of others? Or is it s combination of these elements? Is the human need we have to interact with others a driving force behind all of the groups we join? Does everyone have a need to join a group? 5. Our text gives quite a bit of information about the difference between groups and teams. Describe some of these differences. 6. sports teams have those rules and everyone understands them. But think about the teams you’re involved in at work–have the rules been established and discussed? Does every team member know what the rules are? 7. What other types of teams are you all familiar with and a part of? What roles do you play in the teams you’re involved in? 8. Think about the teams you’re involved in; have the goals been discussed and does every team member know and understand the goals? What about roles-does everyone have a clear understanding of their roles in the team and how they contribute to helping the team reach its goals?
