This assignment requires you to compare two theoretical and research approaches in social science which are sufficiently broad and widely recognized to be considered paradigmatic in the sense that Thomas S. Kuhn (The structure of Scientific Revolutions) defines the term. The focus of this comparison will be with respect to how each of the paradigmatic approaches is applied to a research topic or research question of your choosing that is prominent in the social sciences. The resulting project will be 1. a critical analysis that evaluates strengths and weaknesses of each approach, 2. explains how these approaches have added to the overall knowledge with the field of inquiry and 3. compares and contrasts the two as applied in practice. Paper must include at least 4 academic references including two scholarly articles that apply frameworks similar to the two you are evaluating to support your thinking and conclusions Formatting should adhere to APA writing format requirements Paper must include an introduction and conclusion Paper must be minimum of 7 pages NOT including cover page and reference page
