Write an informative speech, including an outline, and visual aid (powerpoint) about a topic relating to business. Present information designed to inform the audience of some business related aspect (this a be a successful business mogul, an established business, or your insight into the business you will create ;-). The powerpoint must include images and anything used to enhance speech not take away from it. You will also need to provide a script with the outline and visual aid. Speech Rules: 1. The minimum times listed for speeches above are absolute minimums. Points are forfeited for insufficient length as follows: 1 to 15 seconds short – minus 5 points. 16 to 30 seconds short – minus an additional 10 points (total 15). 31 to 45 seconds short – minus an additional 15 points (total 30). 46 to 60 seconds short – minus an additional 20 points (total 50). Speeches that are 61 or more seconds short will receive no credit (in other words, you get a grade of “0” for the speech), and it may not be made up. 2. 2) Points will also be deducted if a student surpasses the speech limit. 3. If you do not submit your speech, you have automatically failed the course. 4. Each student is allowed to use up to three 3 x 5 index cards during their speech; the note cards should be used to write key words and phrases—complete sentences are not allowed. 5. Students will need to turn in a typed, full sentence outline for each speech. Outlines must be turned in along with their speech and visual aid. The working outline will need to include a speech title, topic, specific purpose, thesis, introduction, body, and conclusion; a Works Cited Page will also need to be attached. The outline should be in Roman Numeral Outline Format. Failure to submit the outline will result in a deduction of 15 points from the speech grade.
