This proposal will describe what you intend to do and outline some of the key texts on your topic. You will get formative feedback on this proposal to help you proceed to the next phase. The second phase is focused on research. You will be working towards the submission of a Research Folder, which will develop your proposal and give you an opportunity for feedback before your final submission. You will be expected to have conducted in-depth research into a range of sources suitable to academic research at this level, and you will demonstrate this in an annotated bibliography. You will also write a detailed essay plan at this stage – showing the structure of your final essay and the contents for each section. You will also improve and extend your abstract.
