You are required to write a ten to twelve (10-12) page essay, which will be due on November 1st. A strong essay will integrate course materials, clearly and explicitly articulate an argument or thesis; make precise and appropriate use of relevant concepts; support arguments with evidence; draw upon multiple and pertinent class sources; and of course, be carefully formatted, proofread, organized and composed. I require that you use at least three scholarly outside sources for the paper as well as the reading assigned for class.
