Explain in 2-3 pages your Definition of a Leader. In this course we will be looking at the types of characteristics exhibited by successful leaders both in the sports world as well as society in general. To begin our study I would like you to contemplate some of qualities you feel contribute to those successful leaders in your life. Please include two examples of those who you believe are exemplary leaders. Pick one example from those outside of your acquaintance and one with whom you have worked or watched up-close. Discuss their motivation to lead. This paper should be double spaced, 2-3 pages in length You can write the paper in any fashion you like, but I would like you to include the following: a. Characteristics demonstrated by those leaders you feel are successful. b. One example of an accomplished leader that you have oberved, but never met. Listing the reasons you feel they make a great role model. c. One example of a strong leader that you know or have worked for, etc. You can even discuss the topic with them if time permits, but isn’t required. List your thoughts on why you feel they make a good mentor. d. Your concluding thoughts on your own leadership abilites and experiences as well as areas you feel make you a strong leader or possibly need to improve.
