Project Overview, Description, and Goals:Human Resource Management deals with a wide range of activities through which organizations (both profit and nonprofit) acquire, maintain, and utilize their workforces to achieve success. This function has traditionally been referred to as Personnel Management, but through evolution, Human Resource Management (HRM) is the current term of choice. The field of Human Resources allows one to encounter several critical areas and gain experience to assist in dealing with lay and complex situations. This course has one major overall objective which is to assist in preparing fruitful and productive members of society and the workforce, also, preparing individuals for careers in management, entrepreneurship, overall business or Human Resource Management. There are also several sub-objectives: 1. Develop an understanding of HRM its relationship to organizations and organizational functions. 2. Learn skills involved in acquiring and maintaining a productive workforce who possess aligned values such as loyalty and cohesiveness. 3. Show the importance of HR to firms and individuals when planning strategically, recruiting, training, career planning, performing, developing total compensation programs, enforcing legal requirements, and ethics. 4. Prepare individuals to research and investigate, in order to identify issues quickly and handle the same professionally. 5. Prepare individuals to engage in important personal career planning activities. 6. Enhance sensitivity to HRM. Title Page and IntroductionThe title page should contain the title of the paper, the author’s name (the person who is composing the writing), instructor’s name, date, and the institutional affiliation. The next page should include a brief introduction of what the audience will find in your project. Section One: Presentation (Personal Statement)Human Capital includes the competencies, capabilities, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other attributes an individual possesses. Section one of the course project entails presenting and communicating effectively. This section requires the written presentation and communication of a personal statement. Think of this as your brand, your elevator pitch (in writing), or your personal mission, vision, and values. Section Two: Human Resource Specialization (HR Interest)Section two of the project requires that you select an area of HRM that you identify with, wish to learn more about, that you do not agree with, or maybe an area you wish to focus your professional career. You will need to provide an assessment of the area and how this area will impact your future, society’s future, or the future of business. This section requires that you discuss any legal and/or ethical revelations; you will also provide a recommendation on how the legal or ethical dilemma can potentially be resolved. Conclusion & References Finally, you will conclude your project with a brief statement synthesizing everything together. You should also have a reference page that indicates all the sources you used. Each section should include in-text citations, and the entire project should include a minimum of five (5) scholarly sources. Final Deliverable:The final deliverable combines the entire project from the introduction to the conclusion, which you will ultimately submit to the Dropbox located in D2L. Instructor Comments:Ultimately, you have been given an estimate of 15 weeks to complete this project; as such late projects will not be accepted. In the event you encounter a situation that prevents you from timely submitting your project. Please communicate that to me as quickly as possible. If I approve you to submit your project late you will automatically be scored based on 50% of the total points of the project. This means if your portfolio is approved by me to be turned in late the maximum points you will obtain will be no more than half of the projects worth. Paper must be APA, double spaced, and in 12pt New Times Roman Font, and at least one page per section.
