This is a discussion post This week’s readings introduce us to the dual role of the case manager: the provider of direct services, and the coordinator of services provided by other providers and/or organizations. Give two examples of a case manager providing direct services, and two instances where a case manager would coordinate services. Describe the rationale for performing dual roles, with a focus on the benefits to the client and the organization. Your initial post must be at least 250 words, and any citations of sources must conform with the CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA Requirements. Although discussion posts do not require the same level of logical and stylistic rigor as do Critical Thinking and Portfolio Project assignments, be sure to support your positions and thinking with sound reasoning, substantive evidence, and citations of sources when applicable. For this and all discussion assignments, respond to at least two classmates’ posts. Keep your critique helpful and thoughtful. Remember that a critique is not the same as “criticism.” We learn from each other; that is how knowledge builds. Provide insights that can be useful learning for all of us.
