Family Theory Paper: Student will identify a Tv Family of Whom they are knowledgeable (e.g, The Simpsons, Modern Family, Parenthood, etc) as the focus of their paper. Choose at least two of the family theories reviewed in class and discuss the nature of relationships and patterns of family interaction displayed in this focus family, i.e., use at least two theoretical perspectives to discuss interaction patterns displayed in the family relationships. Following that, students should discuss, in general; • Which of the theories reviewed seems to provide the best approach to understand families? Which provides the worst? Justify your respond • How has the theory which was determined to the best approach shaped and guided empirical research in the field? Provide some examples. The family theory paper should be approximately 6-7 pages, excluding title page, references, tables, etc. Use a minimum of four outside sources in addition to class text(s)/ information.
