Collins provides a review of development theory, and Myers provides some additional perspective on Christian development theory. Based on these readings, and some of the supplemental readings (which you will reference in the online course), write a forum post to address one of the following questions: 1. Myer notes that the best human future is the kingdom of God. This feature is framed by the twin goals of transformation: changed people and changed relationships. This perspective is different from those presented by Collins and even the SDG’s. As Christians, how can we keep this broader goal of transformation in focus while working contexts that often emphasize these prevailing secular paradigms? 2. How do Christians respond to the IFRC Code of Conduct or the SPHERE Humanitarian Charter? 3. Does Jayakumar Christian’s theory of development have a place in disaster response? Drawing from the theories of development that you have read so far, write a forum post critiquing the SDG’s. In your critique answer the following three questions: 1. What are some of the strength of the SDG’s from a development perspective? 2. What are some of the weaknesses? 3. How do the SDG’s relate to disaster management (preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation).? Post a response in 70 words Select an organizational theory or concept that is presented in the readings from Chapters 6 & 7 and post a non-technical narrative for a fellow student to assess from a consulting perspective, with the goal of determining the organizational concepts presented in the narrative. Be sure to post your narrative and then step into the role of consulting as you review another student’s work. In 70 words post a response to chapter 7 we read of organizational culture and the challenge of changing organizational culture. Describe an organization (either contemporary or historical or Biblical) that you have observed that has attempted to change the organizational culture, either successfully or unsuccessfully. What seemed to be the catalyst that either promoted or hindered the successful change?
