One way that nurse educators can help students become critical thinkers is by challenging them with the right questions, both in class and in the clinical setting. Look to the literature to both understand and explain the skill of questioning, as well as other techniques that have the potential of elevating student thinking. Quality thinking takes time. Briefly present content of your choice that you would present in the classroom. Think of 5 questions from this content that you believe can elevate student thinking. How would you structure your class so as to use questioning effectively and still cover the “necessary” content? Your goal is to generate a description of the future “thinking nurse”, and the role of nurse educations. Write a professional graduate level paper following the written assignment rubric available on D2L. This scholarly paper should be no less than 6 pages in length using at the minimum 6 resources. Title, abstract and reference pages are excluded. As with all scholarly papers in nursing, please follow strict APA 6th Ed. guidelines.
