Her wound became infected and will require several weeks of antibiotic therapy to heal. She is in severe pain from the infection. She has not eaten well since the surgery and is unable to walk effectively when physical therapy tries to ambulate with her because of the pain. She is divorced and is the primary means of income for her two children. She has very little support from her extended family. When her children come to visit they are unruly and she seems exhausted a few minutes after their arrival. She is very concerned about how she will care for her children upon returning home.
