In the book, “Lead Like Jesus”, the authors talk about the idea of leadership in the context of Jesus’ call “to serve rather than to be served.” Consider the economic assumption related to the firm; profit maximization. In this context, as a leader within the firm, the firm’s goal is to maximize profits. However, in some contexts, profit or wealth maximization has been associated with a greed or selfishness.
